Our floors are designed to be bonded to the van ribs. Although easy in theory, achieving a perfect finish can require a certain level of attention to detail. Firstly, dry fit your floor, they are designed to fit perfectly snug after ply lining and carpet, however if any trimming is required this is the time. Secondly, remove the floor and apply a small run of wood glue on the splice join and an even amount of adhesive onto the ribs, we recommend soudal fix all turbo adhesive. Once the floor has been laid, apply even pressure throughout so the floor is in contact with all the ribs. Finally, the floor must be weighed down with significant weight, ensuring all the floor is in contact with the ribs and bond, this is most important over the join. An alternative to weight can be using acrow props, just ensure you are applying pressure evenly and inline with the van ceiling ribs to avoid damaging any headliners
- For VW T5/6 This floor requires a full length WIDE threshold and a side load extra steep door step trim cover. Please see Vanstyle.co.uk
- Other van may also require Wide rear and steep side trims.
- Some floors may require slight trimming depending on ply-lining, insulation and carpet used.
- You will require a small amount of wood glue and a tube of adhesive to fit
